My McAfee Security Center that came with AOL doesn’t work…
It will open, but then it just shows the window with white in it. There’s no anything.
It still updates on its own, but won’t open.
It doesn’t scan at all.
Please help, this only started recently.

Uninstall McAfee, restart the system, install McAfee. This should mostly solve the problem.

Hello Peter, Some time files get corrupt and some time malware, and other computer viruses will cause your window to do this. As the others has said, you might need to un-install McAfee and then re-install it, but it could be a different story if it came with aol, because if you uninstall mcafee security center then you will also uninstall aol, you just might need to contact someone at aol ok. If you uninstall mcafee and don’t have the cd software to reinstall then your computer will be unprotected. You can also check to see if it were a trial version of mcafee or see if the number of days that you had use of is not expired. When I bought my new computer a few months ago norton came already install, but it were only for 3 months, and before the 3 months were up you would have to purchase the software because if not and the pre-install version expires, it will scan but will not run the updates , and the updates is what keep your computer protected. You can go to your Install/Uninstall program list to check and see if it is listed, or go to your All Program list to see if it is located there, if so then double-click to get it started from there, if none of the above work then you need to contact aol.
