McAfee SiteAdvisor for Mozila Firefox, who has it? Does it actually work?

September 27th, 2008 · 2 Comments

I have only CCleaner, and Norton Antivirus/Internet Security free trial. Should I get more protection programs, which ones? And then I addded the McAfee SiteAdvisor, does in conflict with any internet/computer protection programs? Then I also have Norton Systemworks 2005, but thats just for the computer I think.

McAfee site adviser only gives info on a site. If they feel a site is good, then it gets a green. Bad is red. Unknown gray.
It keeps you away from tainted sites. It does not conflict with the others. I have it and have no issues.

It is good to have anti-virus, firewall and anti-spyware. The Norton covers that, but I do not think much of Norton. Had it, switched to free alternatives and my computer runs much better.

This site has much info on all this and free software:
