So everytime I go into the internet, a warning box comes up saying:
“SiteAdvisor is being prevented from updating its registry information. This can be caused by some Spyware blockers. SiteAdvisor won’t be able to protect you until this problem is fixed.” Does anyone know how to make this go away? I’m not going to turn off any of my spyware blockers because I just got the Antivirus 2009 virus off of my computer. Please help!
If I close the box, it comes back up five seconds later.

Try avast home edition, it’s free and it will remove all viruses, and you can also get the avast virus cleaner. It is highly recommended by a lot of users.

Take off the Site Adviser program and then restart your PC and then reinstall it. Since you will be reinstalling it you will be overriding anything that might be blocking the program from gaining access to the net.

This is probably the work of Windows Defender (in Windows Vista). What you can do is go to your taskpane and [right] click on the icon of a grey brick wall and select the option Shut Down Windows Defender. Then go into Control Panel and change the settings of when and where it pops up. This should work!
