PLEASE READ IT ALL. I know it isn't mandatory, just want your opinion. I just installed "McAfee Virus Scan Plus 2009". The McAfee installer says "installation complete" but then another window popped up with an offer. This is what it says:
"Activate Your McAfee Software"
Your computer comes with a 12 month subscription to McAfee Security Center. Activate it so you can:
-Stay protected from the latest security threats with automatic updates.
-Access award-winning technical support.
Would the 12 months subcription of automatic updates be recommended or would the program I just installed on its own be enough to stay protected because I don't want to give them my information. I FEEL LIKE THEY'LL BUG ME TO RENEW MY SUBSCRIPTION AFTER IT EXPIRES. Although I think just might activate it.
I actually had subscribed already, I just didn't know that subscribing meant activating it. Thanks for making that clear woolybooly.

you installed it, now it is asking you to activate it. it will not work unless you activate it,
