McAfee virus scan enterprise 8.50i or avast antivirus ?

October 18th, 2008 · 2 Comments

I have both McAfee virus scan enterprise and avast in my laptop right now. I heard its not good to have 2 antivirus softwares at the same time. So i need to get rid of one, which one should I get rid of ? I REALLY want to keep them both, do u think its fine to keep them both running ? Because McAfee is a paid product and avast on the other hand is a good free pproduct.

Also, I have a good ram (4 gigs) and a great processor so even though McAfee hogs resources, it does not impact me much, this is also another thing to consider when choosing which to keep and which to get rid of.

NO…… it’s NOT a good idea to keep them both running. You could, at any time, run into all sorts of problems. Two (2) AV products are not compatible with each other in almost all instances.
Just a thought…. Avast 4.8 Home Edition (free) has beaten Norton, Kasperski and McAfee in the “AV Comparitives” test labs for two (2) years running and is considered one of the best anti-virus programs available today, free or paid. Take a look for yourself:

      Good Luck !!!
