Mcafee won't open, shows the box for security center but inside the box remains blank?
Whenever I restart my computer (I don't restart to try to fix the problem, it's been like this for a long and I've been ignoring it) a little box comes up that says mcafee finished it's scan and found two things to fix, and it has an option to see the scan results. When i do that the box comes up for mcafee, but inside it is blank and it never loads. If i try to do anything like open the security center with mcafee, anything that would be in the little black mcafee box it just stays blank.
What is wrong with it?
On windows task manager I could end process for all of the Mc things (i assume they have to do with mcafee) except for mcshell.exe and the box would stay there. But when I close mcshell.exe then the box instantly goes away. So i guess that little box is mcshell and that is all that is working, I don't know if that helps

i have the same problem i cant figure it out so i removed it and tried to reinstall it but it comes up blank

Same problem. New Acer laptop, and it kept freezing had to reconfigure the whole thing. Now it freezes and guess what? McAfee is showing errors, files missing, can’t reload it from this laptop (wish I knew that you can’t load your programs before I bought this laptop)…anyway, did a restore and yes, McAfee doesn’t work and just has that blank box.
