I Have a problem with Microsoft Security Update for XML Core service pack 4.0 (KB936181). it wont stop updating ! After it succesfully installs, it will update again. and again ang again. its driving me nuts. i tried to turn off the updates but after i opened it again. it does the same thing again. it’s driving me nuts. is this a virus? can somebody help me what to do? thanks

Dial-a-fix is a collection of ‘known fixes’ that have been compiled over the past year that really knock out some serious Windows problems, all with one or two clicks. “When in doubt, check ‘em all”.
Dial-a-fix tackles issues with SSL/Cryptography, Windows Update, Microsoft Installer, and many miscellaneous shell problems. Example: If you get a blank screen when trying to visit Windows Update, simply checkmark the main Windows Update checkmark (in box #3) and click GO. Most issues can be resolved in a similar manner, if not by combinations of fixes. There is also a ‘check all’ button which is useful as a last ditch effort, or when you don’t understand where a particular problem is coming from.

Have a look through this link below and
follow the instructions for a fix.
Click Start > All Programs > Accessories, right click on Command Prompt and choose Run as administrator
Type ren %windir%\System32\msxml4.dll msxml4.old, and press Enter (Ignore any errors stating that the file could not be found)!
Next, type exit, and press Enter
Click Start, from the Search box type Programs and Features, then press Enter
Next, select MSXML 4.0 SP2 (KB936181) from the list and click uninstall:
Now, simply visit the official Microsoft KB93618 download link and manually download and install the update
Restart your computer and if all goes well, your KB936181 update issues should be history.

Francis, go to Google and type in
Windows Installer Cleanup Utility
Download and install it.
You will find it in Program Files in your c drive.
When you use it, make sure you are only deleting windows applications you are having a problem with.
