I downloaded some ebooks in doc. format, and when I click open the file, the heading of the 'ebook' tells me to send a blank email to a designated address, and the rest of the body of the document contains some weirds symbols like this throughout the whole document:
#$%#@%*9678994*&^%$#%^&*()^%^7
$%^&*()(*&^%$#$%^&*()_(*&56789
At first I thought this is due to some encryption and thus made the file containing some weird symbols, and the heading of the file made it clear that I must send a blank email which I did, to request for password to encrypt the file and I received the email in return, of which I didn't understand at all.
Come to think of it, how could you possibly encrypt the content of the file when I can open it in the first place. What are the chances that these are virus files? since I noticed that the ebooks has the same size throughout?
Any Microsoft Word expert on encryption who can shed some lights?
