Mozilla Firefox acting weird. I want to uninstall-reinstall it. Will I lose my BOOKMARKS?

June 12th, 2009 · 2 Comments

My Mozilla Firefox browser has been acting weird for a while. I can't open up any new windows. Pop-ups like from Javascript never appear. When I start the computer and click on its desktop icon, it takes forever until the browser comes up. I can't even see my DownloadHelper icon on the screen. I definitely downloaded the add-on!

I just don't know how to fix these problems.
Will uninstalling then reinstalling it probably help? Or not? If I do do this, do you think that I'll lose all of the bookmarks that I've saved?
Are there any other things that I can do in order to solve this?

Please help. Thanks! (:

Just export the bookmarks and import them when your done reinstalling.

Bookmarks>Organize Bookmarks, click the star, and select backup bookmarks. Save them on your drive, and them import them when you do the reinstall.

      You can backup the bookmarks..
Go to Bookmarks -> Organize bookmarks and select Import and backup and u can find backup and import options.
To check the add-ons to to Tools -> Add-ons and check which all add-ons are installed and Enabled\Disabled.
Go to Tools -> Options -> Content and select Enable java, Enable java script, Un-mark block pop-up windows to get pop-ups.

Its better if you uninstall and reinstall Firefox.
