Mozilla Firefox Google Search toolbar?

May 27th, 2008 · 1 Comment

You know how Mozilla Firefox, by default, has that Google Search toolbar to the right of the URL entry box? Well you can customize that and actually add search engines to it, or you used to be able too. Nowadays when I try to add a search engine, it takes me to the Mozilla Firefox addons page but it no longer has the option of adding in search engines like it did in the past. What happened to that? Anyways, I want to know if there is a file for Mozilla within its install folder that keeps a record of the search engines that are added into that toolbar. The reason I am asking is because I want to transfer those search engines to my other computer, but I cannot do it like I used to in the past though the website. Does anybody have the link to that website OR does anybody know what file that is so that I can transfer my custom search engines to my other computer?

I think that the addons page it takes you to is for the search engines you can add, they've just changed the look or something.

Don't know where it keeps a record of which are installed though, sorry. The closest I can find is the folder C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\searchplugins but that only seems to have the default ones in it.
