I’ve got Firefox version 3.0 and have been running it with no problems for weeks. Today, when I click on the icon on the desktop I get a message saying that Firefox is already running and I need to close it or restart my computer. I’ve tried running a virus and spyware scan, uninstalling Firefox and reinstalling it, but nothing seems to be working. Like I already said, it’s been running perfectly for weeks now with no problems and the version I’ve downloaded was from the official Mozilla Firefox site. Any suggestions would be gratefully received.

Hey, have u tried killiing the process in Task manager? Open Task manager ( Type “taskmgr” in Run menu) and select a process by name firefox.exe and click on “End Process”. If this does not work, then try to browse to Firefox safe mode from All programs - Mozilla Firefox.
Actually, restarting the pc should have solved your issue.
