MSVCRT.dll error anyone please help?

Ok so it all starts when i try and update my Java docs with 'JDK 6 Update 12 with Java EE' and its says all theses errors that it cant find these files in the class library of 'MSVCRT.dll' so i try replace it and it tells me i don't have permission, i run as administrator and search windows support.
I dident find anything so i gave it up after 2 hours, I went on to 'Microsoft visual C++ 2008 express edition' and try to make a new document and it come with 2 errors; the first 'Automation Server can't create object' and the second a blank error report.
I once again go on the internet to try and find some help for this and find a tool from Microsoft, i requires a windows validation check and so i download it and when i run it it comes up with an error just like the one i had while trying to install java docs relating again to 'MSVCRT.dll' so i once again hop on the internet and discover there are many people on forums who have 'msvcrt.dll' errors to and all cant fix it so i went to Microsoft help and support to try and contact them by phone and email and was bombarded with a series of questions which i did not understand so i exited it and came to yahoo answers to look for some help.

I am running Windows vista Ultimate SP2 and would be grateful if i could get any information on my problem and how to resolve it.
