ok so i am trying to open my animation program called Autodesk 3ds max 2009, and it has worked great till today. I have one other Autodesk program called Maya 2009 (dont know if that means anything) Anyways when i tried to open the program this exact error came up. "The procedure entry point_except_handler4_common could not be located in the dynamic link library msvcrt.dll" Please i really need help!!!
By the way my operating system is Windows Vista Home Basic 32 bit.

Hi,
The error you are receiving can be caused when an older version of the msvcrt.dll is installed by an application (in your case either of the Autodesk apps, or possible some other program you recently installed.
The solution is to locate this older copy of msvcrt.dll in the directory where the application is saved to; (e.g. c:\program files\autocad\msvcrt.dll)
Right click on this file and rename to msvcrt.old then goto C:\WINDOWS\System32 folder and copy the msvcrt.dll file from there to the location you renamed the other copy to .OLD

Works amazing, 3ds max was giving me the problem and this solved it
