My apple keyboard four buttons stopped working for windows vista why?

I turned on the computer and suddenly when i wanted to turn up the volume i cant because mute, quieter, louder, eject (F10,F11,F12 and eject) stopped working. I have an Imac but my Leopard stopped working so i had to change to windovs vista. but when i click on another button and press F10,F11 etc. while still pressing the other button the button works like F10 changes it to full screen. HELP!
It was working for 4 months. Somehow stopped. THE TOP BUTTONS STOPPED WORKING NOW. the F1-F19.
