My computer crashes every time I run AVG. Advice?

The scan. It ran nicely in the past. My system info says I have 448 MB ram.

      Even if you have just 256 MB RAM you will not face this problem.
      You have not given your computer configuration and the details of the problem clearly.

      Is it AVG scan or just loading the anti-virus?
