i have an hp desktop computer (about 1 year) and it always ran fast and smooth. lately however its been running really slow and sometimes freezes. i ran norton antivirus ang spy sweeper and spyware doctor but it still has the same problem. what could be wrong?

click on your recyling bin and delete EVERYTHING in it that you dont need. to click on multiple things @ once, old down the control key while clicking. it worked 4 me so hopefully it willl work 4 u!

I think you have too many things on it. Ang, I heard, isn't good. Maybe back up all your things and reformat it. Otherwise, do a disk cleanup and then degfrag. (located under accessories and then system tools).

have u tryed in the system tools, do a disc clean up the do a defragment.. u could also try to to run the program cookies and delete them, run program type it just like this> %temps% and delete from there to. good luck hope it works!!!

well, you shouldn't really worry too much, how ever if it is too unbearably slow consider buying a registry cleaner, today everyones computer has problems with their registry and if there are problems with your registry your computer will slow down.

Spyware doctor is known to sometimes carry Trojans, and also you should defragment your computer. It can take hours so do everything you have to before hand.

probably WAY TOO MANY programs open at once or just WAY TOO MANY on the computer itself!…
try saving your photos to CD-Rs
or defragmenting could help!
to do this: (if you have windows XP)
1. go to start
2. then my computer
3. right click Local Disk (C:) and select properties
4. select the tools tab
5. click Defragment Now…
