I have been running premiere pro cs3 and it continually crashes. Sometimes even just starting it up crashes it. I sometimes get a BSOD that either states memory_management or IRQL_not_less. This made me think it was a memory issue but I switched out all the memory and Premiere still crashes, although I don’t always get a BSOD now. I did change a registry setting a few weeks back but I deleted the entry and did a registry mechanic scan. I’m sort of at a loss here. Please help!
I have 3 gigs of ram, I'm guessing that should be enough to run Premiere. It was running fine until my project got too big. Also I have noticed after a while my host file crashes, I don't know if that tells you guys anything.

Uninstall Premiere Pro and see if you system works fine.
If yes then install a fresh copy of the same software and see if it works fine.

Is all your memory the same brand/timings? Is your memory compatible with the mobo (you can check on the manu website)? If you answer yes to both these questions, then do a format and a fresh install of your OS, not a reinstall.

Ewww, a few things may be wrong you may want to check into. For the memory if you have installed memory recently or messed with it you may want to remove all sticks of RAM and place them back in one by one until the problem pops up again. If it does the same with the first stick you put in swap it with another but if it does this with all of them it may not be the memory itself. Then I would try doing a repair on the computer with the repair disk as you said that the registry was edited.

Probably screwed up your registry once you do that it will start doing all sorts of weird crap on you. Try seeing if its the program also if you have a computer with not enough ram processing power etc it will crash too. Anyways good luck hopefully you find the answer you will probably need to reinstall the OS.
