Trojan horse Generic_c.OYJ
i have looked through my docs and program files and have found a file it can from. i deleted it and it was still thre. i uninstalled it and it got rid of it in the add/remove programs thing. it still isn't gone. I need to know how to fix it. And i don't want and will not install anything. I have AVG and Ad aware 2008. avg found the file so it must still be there.

Dont Panic, go to anyone of these following websites. http://www.trendmicro.com navigate to free scan or http://www.pandasoftware.com and again go to free scan. i would run a scan on both what one misses the other might catch, hope this helps.

Ad Aware does not work as I used to have it and then after using some other software for spyware and viruses both programs returned everything relating to Ad Aware as being spyware and other crap. McAfee is good but it costs money, Spyware Doctor costs a bit but I haven't had any trouble with it over the years. Others are Spybot Search and Destory which I have heard good things about. If you can find the files location start your computer in safe mode and locate that file and kill it that way.
