My computer is running abnormally slow.?

Hey, recently my Inspiron laptop had been running slow. I noticed this maybe four days ago. When ever I am playing music on itunes or such it its always very skippy, if thats a word. I just wont pay the song without a skipping thing. This applies to videos also. Also, my internet is running slow, and sometimes even freezing up completely. It just seems like its taking too much time. I have ran a “disk clean up”, checked for viruses, and did a “Disk Defragmentation”, yet its still very slow. Does anyone have any suggestions for me?
