OK… This is going to be hard to explain. My computer since the day i bought it has been acting strange. I cant send it back so i have to figure out whats wrong with it and fix it. Every so often, about two or three months, my computer starts running really slow. It lags like crazy. It is so bad it takes it at least ten minutes to start and when it does start the chime that goes off as it is coming on skips like crazy. Any type of video i play, whether it be on the internet or not, lags also. The only remedy is to take windows off and put it back on. The thing is no matter how many times i do that it always happens again in about two or three months. I took it to the shop and had a new hard drive put in it. Still does the same thing. Then we thought maybe it was updates that i was d/l so we deleted them it worked for a while but it is doing it right now. I'm stumped.
It was doing this before i had the hard drive replaced and its still doing it.i have 101313mb of free virtual memory intial size is 1344 and maximum size is 2688 what do i change it to?
I am connected to the internet most of time
I have windows firewall and avg free antivirus
i dont know what p2p meanslol
BTW i have ran countless virus scans in the past and it hasnt never found anything but right before it done it this time it found like 5 trojans in a while plus everytime i start it up it says "Error loading C:/WINDOWS/system32/kleewqrh.dll

most probable answer u get is the RAM u would have to increase… try to figure out the RAM config that matches ur processor speed…
otherwise the temporary adjustment may be go to my comp>properties>and increase the virtual memory and try .

Start by testing your RAM with Memtest:

There are soooooo many things that could be causing your problems that it's impossible to diagnose without actually getting my hands on it and running some diagnostics. It could be, as others have mentioned, a RAM problem. But it could also be motherboard, processor, hard drive or even power supply. Your best bet is to take it to a competent technician (look for the CompTIA A+ certification) and have him or her run diagnostics on the hardware.

Dude, the reason why its lagging like that is because of your hard drive.

from your description I can understand that after you format the HD and install windows its ranning ok for few month and then it happen again….
few questions:
1. are you connected to internet?
2. are you protected ? firewall, good updated antivirus?
3. are you using p2p software?
it seem your computer is infected.
