My computer became very slow it takes me 5 mins for every page i enter and real player became slow that the sound is faster than the pic and my virtual memory is slow…how can i repair it without taking it to a computer store???

Buy some ram (its very cheap at the moment), run a virus scan and or possibly change your proxy server.

if its really at 256kbs thats the problem. 256kbs is really slow for DSL

The speed of your computer has nothing to do with internet speed unless you are talking about streaming media.
Try these things:
Download CCleaner (www.ccleaner.com) and run the cleaner and registry cleaner.
Also in CCleaner, look under tools then start up, and disable programs that you don’t need at start up so that less memory is used
Try running the disk defragmenter as well
Virtual memory usually refers to RAM, so either buy more RAM or close unneeded programs

1st,take control of your start up programs and whittlethose down to a dozen or less.
add memory up to 3 GIG’s total
clear out & burn to cd any:
movies
pictures
videos
music
files you have. :: do a disk clean weekly and set disk defrag for same
use Spybot or Ad-Aware spyware cleaners
clean up old registry files with RegSeeker
finally,install Ccleaner to clean out the “crap” on your computer
