My computer is running so slow. This happens every once in a while….?

I have Norton antivirus and Spybot. I did a norton scan and there were a few things on it and it cleaned most of them up; however, it says that there is a problem with 3 files?? and it asks me to view details and it gives me no details????/

Also, a friend of mine told me to go to 1. start 2. run 3. prefetch files….and delete them I did this…..

I also deleted most of my pictures on the computer because I know that they take up space.

Youtube keeps stopping and going and stopping and going.

Any suggestions.

I'm running Windows 2000…..

I can defragemet too. I'll try that now….I don't know why this computer is so slow….
