I uploaded norton anti virus a few days ago and before that had ran the windows free virus scan off the internet on my laptop. Now 3 days later i can not log in. It turns on to the page where i entre my password, but instead of logging in it saves my settings and logs off. My brother who uploaded the same anti virus has the same problem?. is this a virus or is it a problem related to the anti virus i downloaded or norton that i put on laptop. Help i have improtant information i need off my laptop!!!!!!!!!!!
Okay I CANT LOG IN SO I CANT DELATE THE UPLOADED ANTI VIRUS, got the anti- virus on a CD to upload,,,,
HOW CAN I LOG IN, i cant make any changes till i can get back into it,,,,,
if any one has had this problem where the computer starts up but will not log in and keeps logging off, can you please tell me how you got it fixed and if the information on the hard drive was ok.

Where did you download the norton anti virus? Was it from the Symantec website? If so call them up or check their forums for an answer. If you got it from some other site, you could have downloaded a bogus program that was a trojan.
I have used Norton products for over a decade with out any problems.

dude u should try to delete that anti virus and try the AVG 8.0 version it's free and it kicks ass plus u can get it at this site: grifsoft.com because it's secured it it won't download other crap with it.(straight from the source) . sometimes when u download antivirus online it might work, but the anti virus ITSELF IS a virus. so try the avg one it works fine for me. get the antivirus and the avg 8.0 anti spyware. also try not to use internet explorer but mozilla firefox. mozilla is a lot safer.
