Download TROJAN REMOVER from http://www.simplysup.com and do a scan. This is free for 30 days and is very good.
Next download ADVANCED WINDOWS CARE 2 from http://www.iobit.com and do a full scan. This is free for personal use and it will immunise your system against known spyware and will optimise your registry and speed up your PC.
Good luck.

You probably have a trojan residing in the system, as well as multiple spywares and adwares. Possibly even a rootkit. Since your antivirus program didn't find a virus it may need to be updated for current malware. Or replaced with something better. There are many good spy and ad ware removers: The free Spybot Search and Destroy and AdAware are quite good. Microsoft also has good free malware tools.
http://url2it.com/hbp will take you to a listing of of online sites that will scan your system very thoroughly for free. They are all very good so just pick one or two and give them a try. They will have the very latest definitions in place. They can be slow so have patience.
A Google search for adware and spyware will turn up all the free applications available for fighting them.
At the very worst you'll have to wipe your drive(s) and start over. You do have your drive(s) partitioned so that the operating system is in it's own private area, don't you?
Good luck!
