My computer tells me which file is infected by a Trojan horse…?

May 13th, 2008 · 7 Comments

Every time I open a folder, a notice pops up that tells me location of the file, and I can go to that file but then what? None of the anti-virus scanners I install find anything, so is there something I can do with that file to "fix" it? Or do I have to do some kind of system restore thing?

Ok I got a simple solution for you to try. Firstly, you probably know about Norton, it's a great Anti-virus program but usually criticized and ranked down because of it's impact on system performance but anyways it'll give you great results. First download the trial from http://www.download.com/Norton-Internet-Security/3000-8022_4-10592551.html?tag=lst-1&ID=mc25935068197661976.
Once you have installed it, restart your computer and press F8 repeatedly until you go to a menu where you can select Safe Mode, they start your computer in Safe Mode and run Norton. It'll ask if you want to perform a full system scan, press yes.

      Hello,

It sounds like you are infected with a trojan. So I think you are having a hard time because trojan's are not exactly viruses. So most anti-virus programs will not remove them, because they do not see them as viruses.

A couple of month's back I suffered a nasty trojan infection. It completely screwed my computer up. Every time I would get on the internet I would get blasted with pop-up after pop-up.

It got so bad, I thought I would have to get a new computer. So out of frustration I called Geek Squad. They wanted $200 to Look at my computer, and that didn't include fixing it. No Way!

It wasn't until I was searching google for a trojan remover that I came across the solution to my problem.

      http://www.getridofspyware.info/netcom3/a2.html

I found a website that claimed they could eliminate my trojan problem.

Naturally I was a little skeptical, because I had already tried everything with no luck. But, I figured that I really got nothing to loose.

I downloaded their product and scanned my system. It found all the trojans, spyware, and registry errors, just like the rest of the software. But to my amazement, it actually got rid of them too.

I have been running Netcom3 now for the last couple of months, and it has been doing an awesome job at keeping my computer spyware free.

I never have pop-ups anymore, and my computer is running like a dream.

You can Visit the website I found in google above.

      Hope this was helpful,
      -Jenny
