Uninstall programs you don’t use anymore with this one:
Revo Uninstaller Download link: http://www.download.com/Revo-Uninstaller/3000-2096_4-10687648.html
Here’s a small review of it: http://www.download.com/8301-2007_4-9857742-12.html
Description: To uninstall an application, select it from the list of applications, click the “Uninstall” button Or right-click on the selected item choosing the “Uninstall” command on the displayed menu.
This will start the application’s own built-in uninstall module! Revo Uninstaller is not directly involved in that part of the uninstall process.
Revo Uninstaller augments the uninstallation process. It scans your hard disk before and after you uninstall an application. Therefore, you can remove additional unnecessary files, folders and registry keys that are left over, even if you had a broken installation.
If this does not work, here is a good powerful free cleaning program that I use: http://www.glaryutilities.com/gu.html that will nuke rubbish (also called junk, gunk or incomplete installs).
Description: Glary Utilities is a collection of system tools and utilities to allow you to clean system junk files, invalid registry entries and Internet traces. You can also manage and delete browser add-ons, analyze disk space usage and find duplicate files.
Furthermore, Glary Utilities includes options to optimize memory, find, fix, or remove broken Windows shortcuts, manage the programs that start when Windows does and to uninstall software. Other features include secure file deletion, an Empty Folder finder and more.
Remember, A good cleanup of the hard disk is never done in vain.
( A word of caution, with programs this powerful, be sure to read all instructions twice so that you can fix it once ! )
So here we have it, I hope this will help guide you to a machine with a little more space.
Good luck
Cheers
