Okay, so, my internet explorer wouldn't load so i went and downloaded i.e. 7 and when it was done, i had to restart. I clicked restart now and my computer wouldn't turn off…After 15 minutes, still nothing. So i just manually turned it off and on. When i turned on my computer, it gets to my desktop and nothing comes up on it exept something saying installing personal setting for: internet explorer 7.0 uninstall or something like that. I went into safemode and it turns on fine, no problems, i uninstalled the new i.e. and now when my desktop comes up, nothing does. not even that message from before. Please someone tell me what's wrong and how to fix it. I can go in safemode but it isn't safe for your computer so someone help…PLEASE!

You can try to go to Control Panel/Add Remove Programs and go to windows components. In there should be a box for IE. Make sure it is selected and OK out. It should reload IE6 back in. It will want the original CD. Another thing to try is use a restore point since when you did the install of 7 it should have created a restore point before starting the load.

It is because of the background services which are not loaded at startup. Please follow these steps to fix your problem :

2- Type "msconfig" {Enter Key}
3- General | Startup Selection
4- Select " Normal Startup - load all device drivers and services " {Enter Key}
5- Select "Restart"
After restart of the computer, i hope that your problem would be fixed. If it not works then you can choose the following option :
