Now do you think this will be a problem…my mom got me this card and I think she might have used her SSN because everytime I try to get thru to customer service, it asks for the last 4 digits and it tells me that my entry is not what they have on file if i use my social
is that illegal if my mom did use her social? thats why im afraid to call

You won’t get the answer here. Contact Capital-One, the issuer of the card. They are the only ones that can help you.

On the back of your card is a phone number
Call it.

Call Capital One and request a new card….explain your situation and they’ll send you a new card with no problem

You just need to call the phone number on the back of the card; they will send you a new one. You usually can’t do that sort of thing online.

You need to call Capital one. The number is on the back of your card. Explain what happened and tell them the card is physically damaged to the point of it being unusable. They will be happy to mail you a new card because the cost of the card is insignificant compared to the amount of money they will make if you use your card. Most of the time the new card will arrive within a few days. Until then you won’t be able to make any purchases online if the checkout procedure asks for the 3 digit code.
