I’ve been trying for hours to turn off my norton firewall. I have the verizon yahoo online protection, and when I click on it, it says that the norton person firewall in on. When I go to change it, it says it’s off. I’ve restarted my computer three times, trying to get it to work. It’s stopping me from loading many things that I need to load, and I can’t get the darn thing to turn off!!!
I need advcie on how to get it to turn off, or how to uninstall it, because it doesn’t show up on the add/remove programs list.

Go to the link below, select your product and follow the instructions. This will remove your Norton Firewall.
Try the free Comodo Pro to replace Norton. It is a much better 2-way firewall program.

Have you check in your windows security? Go to Start> Control Panel> click on “Windows Security Center” once that window open up click on “Firewall” another window will open up showing that the firewall is “On” (with a green light showing) next to the green light is a small arrow, click on that arrow and another window will open up showing you just how many firewalls installed on your computer. ( I have Nortons installed on my computer with its firewall ) But below that it says (Show me the firewall programs on this computer) Click there and it will show you which firewall is on and which is off. My computer is showing that I have 2 firewalls, 1. Nortons is sowing that it is “On” 2. Windows Firewall is showing that it is “Off” . So just check out your computer from the information that I gave you ok. Once you follow my directions and you see where there is 2 firewalls, just click on the one that you want “On” and the other would be turned off automatically. Just follow directions once you get to the site. Good Luck and I hope that this help you out.
