I found this in an earlier question. ""I have a DSL connection when I try to connect to a secure site (eg..my ebay) I get the following message "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage".When I run the Windows XP Diagnostic tool it responds with "Windows cannot connect to the internet using HTTP, HTTPS, or FTP. This is probably caused by firewall settings on this computer. Check the firewall settings for HTTP port 80, HHTP port 443 and HTTP port 21."""
I have the exact same problem with IE on my laptop. It wont go to any site, nothing. AND I've have tried everything under the sun. I get email on my laptop fine. My other computer works fine both IE, firefox, email. If it's my wireless router, then why does my email work. I've rebooted everything. My isp did all sorts of checks and the connection is fine. Is there a hidden firewall that I don't know about? I turned off the Windows Firewall, and all the firewalls I could find on Norton. PLEASE HELP.

here one tip GET RID OF NORTON!!! it trys and most cases does take over your OS ,norton was good years ago, but nowadays they combine everything in what they call a suite, and it sucks bigtime balls! but anyways, you MUST have something blocked under your internet tools under restricted site or blocked sites, recheck those , and when you get the chance ,smash the norton disc with a big f u c k e n hammer!

I recommend not to use any Antivirus just get a valid key of your OS and enable their virus protection.
