My internet explorer doesn’t browse through wireless connection!?

I own a vista OS and my computer can connect to my wireless network with excellent signal and it is able to log in to aim but as soon as i open internet explorer, google is the only website that it can open up. I can make searches on google and it gives me results, but as soon as i click on a link it doesnt work. it doesnt want to open up any other websites. But if i plug the ethernet cable to it, everything works fine. my sister’s pc with a windows xp OS works excellent with my network and router with no problems through a wireless connection. Ive called HP tech support and did everything they told me to do and they cant find a solution for me and my computer is brand new. I even rebooted my system, disabled upnp, checked if i had zonealarm (no), downloaded mozilla firefox (doesn’t search either), turned off all firewalls, ran it on safe mode, and permanently removed norton anti virus. and still nothing! It was working the first two months i got it. Dont know what to do! HELP! im gonna go crazy…
i already found a solution to this problem. Just in case someone is in the same dilemma, If you are using netgear as a router and you are having the same problems, all you need to do is change the security setting to WPA on your network. call your internet provider and they will be able to guide you through the changes.
