My Internet provider is Verizon Yahoo. Up to recently I have had Norton from them.?

June 30th, 2008 · 2 Comments

I've heard that they broke the contract. I am unable to scan my computer now and worry about my computer's vulnerability. Does Yahoo have another free security suite online and, if yes, how can I uninstall Norton?
Thank you very much in advance.

If you want something free and not have to rely on an ISP, check out Avast Anti-Virus or AVG Free anti-virus. They're free to download and easy to install.
However, uninstall Norton before doing this otherwise the anti-virus software will conflict and mess up the PC.
You can search for free anti-virus software and firewalls online easily.

You can delete Norton by going to; symantec.com, and downloading the Norton Removal Tool. As a suggestion I would like to suggest you to use a reliable anti-virus; or a subscription based anti-virus. Due to an increase of internet threats, and the emergence of spyware, you are not fully protected from threats that come by through cyberspace. The top anti-viruses are; Norton Anti-Virus Internet Security, and Trend Micro.

      Hope I helped..
