My PC running very slow?

hi all,

my laptop is running very slow. it takes 6 mins and 45 seconds for it to start. everyday, it's getting worse and worse. i removed all programs that i don't use. i also tried disk clean up and disk defragmentation. I also tried Webroot Window Washer product (http://www.webroot.com/En_US/consumer-products-windowwasher.html)

i delete all internet temp files, cookies, etc everyday. i have anti-virus/spyware program and its is up-to-date and my pc is scanned and found nothing.

any suggestions to make my PC run faster as before?

Laptop Spec:
Win XP Pro SP3
2.00 GHz Intel CPU T2500 Centrino Duo (Win Vista capable)
1.49GB of RAM
100GB hard drive
IMB ThinkPad LENOVO Z61t series
I'm willing to purchase software to make my PC run faster as long as the software does its job.
