i;'ve had my Data E: and vista C: drives cleared out,
and i have had it checked for viruses.(there r none).

How much memory (RAM) do you have? If the answer is 1GB or less, there's your first problem. Vista needs about 2GB to run well.
Second, make sure that all the devices have working drivers and the drivers are up to date.
After that, find another expert - I ran out of ideas. :-)

It is probably your start up programs. Go to Start>All Programs>Accessories>Run. Once Run is open type in msconfig. Hit continue when prompted. There are 5 tabs you should see at the top of it, the two you are worried about are Services and Startup. Click on the Startup tab to see how many programs are starting when your computer boots. What I usually do is Turn off everything except for what I recognize and am using. Once you are satisfied with that then go to the Services tab. I usually turn off everything besides Microsoft Corporation programs and virus protection software. If you have Lime wire then you should get rid of it, it is a very dominant app. If your computer still runs slow after this then you should look into getting more ram.

start = run = msconfig = start up = uncheak all the boxes of the startup programs you dont need, click ok and reboot, that should speed up boot time dude.

Vista sucks, and I hear all kinds of complaints about Vista from all across the nation already!

Obviously, by your immature grammar, you are a kid, right? So you do not understand the Microsh#t conspiracy yet????

Every two to three years, Microsh#t comes out with a new program that makes a whole lot of people have to go out and buy new computers because you need more speed and more capacity in order to use the Micro-sh#t–controlled internet and such Micro-Sh#t test beds as AOHell. If you subscribe to AOHell then you automatically have to buy a new computer every three to five years because Micro-Sh#t tests its new programs on AOHell!

Also, you use the term "viruses" and 1) the correct plural form of virus is "viri", not viruses, just like the plural of M.O.U.S.E. is "mouses", not mice, because M.O.U.S.E. is an acronym; and 2) a virus is just one of the THREE kinds of computer infections your computer can be struck with, a computer infection is not necessarily a virus, and the three kinds of computer infections (virus, bug, and tag) can be united where you get two or even all three of them in sequence!

Anyway, Vista is a stupid unnecessary program that never should have come to be. This is exactly why Micro-sh#t got into so much legal trouble in the European Union!!!!!

Make sure you have at least 2GB RAM, you need about at least 2GB for Vista to peform well.
