The router I use works fine for the computer I’m on right now which is XP.
My Vista laptop (has a wireless card built in) recognizes the router and recognizes that the internet signal is strong but when I try to connect it says that it can’t so I diagnose the problem and it says, “This network is marked as a ‘hidden’ network and is either not in range of this computer or the wireless settings saved on this computer do not match the settings of this network”.
The first suggestion is obviously not true because I am in the same room as the router.
My laptop has never given me any problems before with the internet infact it has always been pretty great. I can take it to a place with WiFi and it picks it up right away.
I’ll do whatever it takes to get internet on my laptop, please help!
