My Windows XP task manager just flashes into view then goes away.?

July 19th, 2008 · 3 Comments

Does this mean it's been damaged by a virus? What can I do to get task manager to work, to stay put when I press ctrl-alt-del so I can use the task manager?

It never hurts to do a virus check. also check you anti virus or firewall settings.

Did you tried to open task manager in safe mode. I think this would help you.

It doesn't have to have been a virus, unless you know you have been infected. Try getting the task manager thru drag down. If you go to safe mode, you may lose some files.
