need a backup solution?

September 13th, 2008 · 2 Comments

i recently got acronis backup software, but it does not do what i want. i have 2 internal hdds and 1 external. there is 1 folder on the internal that i want a copy of on the external. however, if i change, add, move a file on the internal i want that change to also be made on the external w/o having to do that manually. is there another program, or a simple built in utility in vista. like a shortcut, but one that actually has the files there. thanks if you can help.

I don’t think there is a way to do this unless you Copy the original folder from the hard drive and then Paste a SHORTCUT, but this means if something happens to your original folder the otherones will not work either.

I would recommend Allway Sync. It does exactly what you’re asking, and it’s free.

      Download it here: http://www.allwaysync.com/
