need help with trend micro AntiVirus?

OK i just bought trend micro antivirus monday and intalled it.
when i clicked scan a message pops up saying "unable to start scanning your computer. Please restart your computer before trying again" And i did restart the computer .

i have windows vista.

it wont let me scan

help!!
