No matter how many megabites I uninstall, my Windows XP still shows "low disk space"!!! Why?

And I cannot install any programs because of insufficient space. Does anyone know what the problem might be? And what can I do to solve it?

      Start >Accessories > System Tools > Disk Cleanup and select your drive

      Start > Run > type %appwiz.cpl% and un-install all the programs through the Add/Remove Programs

      Start > Run > type %temp% and click OK. Delete the contents of the folder that opens.

      go to Disk Defragmentation. Run it
