No “shield” notification area icon for Symantec Antivirus?

August 1st, 2009 · No Comments

I am using Symantec Antivirus 10.1.5.5000 with Windows XP SP3. For some reason on one of my Desktop PC’s the yellow shield that is displayed in the notification area of the taskbar when the antivirus is running is not appearing. The antivirus is still protecting the computer because when I download a test virus file and try to save it, it quarantines and deletes it. On all the other computers, which are the same exact OS and Service Pack, it shows up just fine. So, perhaps there is somewhere in the program I have to turn it on? Any ideas? Thanks!
