February 10th, 2009 · 7 Comments

I need to buy an anti-virus protection program and am currently in-between these two. Anybody have any advice from personal experience or professional knowledge?

NOD32 has a good virus database and doesn't slow down your computer like norton. i would definitely pick NOD32

Yes, I've reviewed both applications on youtube. Go for NIS 2009

I would have to agree with NOD32 it does not slow down your system and does not have that big of a footprint. If you get NIS you will need to make sure you configure all of the parts of it so you don't lock your system down and cannot do anything.

I am a big security freak about my comp.

Norton is good, but for the most part blocks the big viruses, but it attracts and lets in many smaller ones.

The other one is overall ok, but it is just not the best for your money or your computer.

The best out there if your willing to spend some money for it is McAfee!!! It is not too expensive, but i have been using it for a long time and never have had any problems. I was so confident in the system that i bought the biggest and the most expensive one out there! I got 3 years for 5 computers!

It isnt that bad for 1 year for 1 computer though! Dont worry though. Most of the security systems out there do a fine job!

      Hope I Helped!

NOD is an industry standard protection.

It is the best and has 99 percent detection rate
