i have norton 360 All-In-One on my pc, but i also have some huge virus.
the sypmtoms are:
-when i log onto a user, all there is is a black screen with my documents open. i have to go to windows task manager to open explorer.exe to get anything working.
-on google, (only on internet explorer) it says: ERROR! your server has been hi-jacked! I cant then access any page from it because ot comes up with some strange software advert thing.
-on internet explorer and when i'm looking through my documents, every time you open a new page it says: your computer was infected by an unknown trojan! yada, yada, yada Click OK to download the antispyware software…etc…
- every 10-20 mins a popup says: you're sytem is infected and stuff like that.
I have norton 360 which says my computer is fine! it says it cant find anything wrong with it.
anyone know why?

Run a scan with Norton 360, if that doesn't find anything, get rid of it and download AVG at http://grisoft.com
Run a scan, if it doesn't find anything do system restore.

I had a similar problem with Norton 360 , not recognizing and treating the "IE defender" spy ware.
After a whole day of trying other programs to remedy, I ended up.
go to system tools
Internet options
advance
reset.
I then had to reset all my settings, which was a chore, but the problem was by passed.
Just keep this in mind for after you try everything else.

Honestly, Norton products are crap and are a resource hog. You are infected with some kind of trojans/malware that either norton 360 is unable to detect/remove.
I suggest you uninstall it and install something that works. go to add/remove and uninstall it. If you run into problems after uninstalling or during, download the norton removal tool: http://www.majorgeeks.com/Norton_Removal_Tool_SymNRT_d4749.html
You'll need an antispyware and antivirus scanner.
Install SUPERAntiSpyware: http://superantispyware.com
- install, update, run a full system scan…reboot when prompted…
Choose one of the 3 listed antivirus below:
Avira Antivir: http://www.free-av.com/en/products/1/avira_antivir_personal__free_antivirus.html
Avast!: http://www.avast.com/eng/free_virus_protectio.html
AVG: http://free.grisoft.com/doc/avg-anti-virus-free/
Some malware may try to prevent you from running security programs, so if possible, you can use online scanners to help remove the malware. You will need to use internet explorer for the scans to work.
Eset: http://www.eset.com/onlinescan/
Bit Defender: http://www.bitdefender.com/scan8/ie.html
F-Secure: http://support.f-secure.com/enu/home/ols.shtml
Also, you may want to clear your temp files as some infections reside there. Use ccleaner: http://ccleaner.com
To prevent infections, you can also download, install, and update Spyware Blaster: http://javacoolsoftware.com/spywareblaster.html
If you run into problems or have difficulty using these programs, you can post in malware help forums and you can get personal help:
Safer-Networking.org (home of Spybot): http://forums.spybot.info/forumdisplay.php?s=237006f0a31687e36459a976d61c5124&f=22

Good luck

Ignore the advice to get rid of 360…the people are either biased, or don't know what they are talking about.
First…the WARNING is malware. It is trying to have you connect to a site where you will download the actual virus onto your computer. Once installed, "only" the company that put it there can delete it. (And you will be prompted to go to their site, pay money to install a useless bit of code that also happens to have the deactivation code for the virus in it.)
You may have to do a regedit to remove the warning. Check your Add/Remove Programs list to see if there is anything new that you did not install.
Next, contact the company that they are touting, and advise them that they have illegally installed malware on your computer in an attempt to extort money. Should they fail to provide you with the code(s) to delete their product(s)…including the malware, you will refer the case to the local Prosecution office for Criminal Proceedings to begin.
Incidentally…would you happen to have recently used a free on-line scanner program to check your system for viruses or other forms of malware? If you have, THAT is what installed the "virus" you are currently infected by.
Good Luck!
EDIT: Incidentally, the "virus" is probably located in the win32 folder. You will have to specifically direct 360 to scan that folder.
You are ALSO infected with multiple viruses.
Contact Norton and they can try to help you to isolate and clean your system.
Worst comes to worst, you will have to wipe your system and perform a complete re-install from scratch and then re-install your AVS.
Now, as for the viruses themselves…If you have done any downloading in the last few months, THAT would be the source of the viruses in question. Since you authorised the downloads, the AVS allowed the malware through, because you told it to!
Finally, where 360 is concerned, what you pay indicates your level of protection. The cheaper version does not fully protect you.
