Norton 360 should help my computer right?

September 15th, 2008 · 1 Comment

So, my computer recently had a virus and spyware problem.
I bought Norton 360 (version 2.0) and I read the back of the box and the details sounded good.
Well, I went home and installed it and i know it helped a little cause i could go on the internet now.
But there are still pop-ups of weird websites asking me to download stuff that has nothing to do with my new program (Norton) and the clock on my taskbar still has the time in military time and its says VIRUS ALERT! right next to it.
Another problem is on my start menu the Log-Off and Restart buttons are gone.

I just don’t know what to do anymore since the Norton 360 doesn’t seem like its helping.

If anyone could give me anything that will help.
Anything besides programs i have to buy over the internet cause its scary using my credit card on the computer.

Thank you so much for your answers!

For one, There are better ways to find programs to protect your computer….Email me sometime and I will share some ideas with you.
As for your current problem, System Restore is your best friend..
Im not a big fan of norton and there are better ways to help…
On a side note, it wouldent be a bad idea to download spybot
search and Destroy. Its a free program.(google it) And it sounds like you have some spyware.. What I would do is, get spybot, Restore your computer to a earlier time, run spybot(make sure you update it) and than search for free anti-virus protection out there or email me and I can give you some suggestions based on personal experience..

      Good Luck ;)
