Are you experienced with both of these products and really know computers? I have used both and am satisfied with both, so is there one reason I should pick one over the other (excluding any price issues - I just want to know about the software itself). I am getting ready to buy an antivirus for my new computer and I just want to know which is better. Thanks for any help!

A long time ago, I had norton 2004, its approach to viruses was putting its fingers in its ears and going "la la la la la la la la" almost literally, it would regularly find a virus that it couldn't disinfect, quarantine or delete, and its response was to add it to an exception list so it wouldnt show up next time you did a scan. and to think people paid for this. i cant say anything about the newer versions, but can you trust it based on the history? cant say anything about zone alarm, it was just a firewall back then, but it was a firewall that worked, so that would be my choice, just putting in my 2 cents

To me there is no best. There all the same they do the same thing and thats all I have to say

why bother wasting your hard earned money ?,,i run virus tests on my one drive all and i mean all the time,,thats way i have that one drive,i test out and collect viruses.call it one of my hobbies if you will. but AVAST4.8 catches alot more then norton does, plus don't install norton 360 you'll be sorry! it takes over your system too much..plus uses alot of system resources ,,zone alarm is pretty good! so heres a list 4 yah,stay away from norton/avg/housecall<trendmicro/but like i 1st ask you why pay? these are the main ones i run ,they work good .don't conflict and are free, AVAST4.8/and12 GHOSTS/SPYWARE TERMINATOR with webguard and winclamAV/AND DOCTOR/ONLINE ARMOUR/<only firewall thats 100percent leak proof tested right out of the box!!!works fine with windows xp firwall!and i haven't had any thing in so long its been so long im mad about it!!i even dare people in chat rooms to send me anything and they can't ,and believe me lots have tried!!!lol! but hey if you want to waste money buying a program gohead it your cash right?
