I have used Norton, even the 2008 version before, and I hated it. My friend purchased a new HP computer a few months ago, which came with a free trial of Norton. We couldn't get it to work. We even tried calling the company, and the person was remotely accessed to the computer for 3 hours, and he couldn't get it to work. I told my friend to install McAfee, and get rid of Norton. Once McAfee was installed, my friend had no problems at all. I would highly recommend installing McAfee.

From my experience with norton internet security on vista is system restore breaks the norton application. I got rid of norton and replace it with trend micro internet security and it has not given me any more problems with system restore on vista home premium .
