Norton is much better than yahoo’s anti spy. They make a good commercial anti virus where as yahoo gives you what you pay for.

Norton. Norton dedicates most of its energy to creating a good anti-virus program, Yahoo has like 5 people working on it. Norton takes longer because it does a more thorough job.

Norton gave me a virus then tried to offer anti-virus.I called my service provider and up dated anti-virus for $7.00,they fixed my COMPUTER problems right from the office.So in answer to your question,I would pick Yahoo anti-spy.

You are trying to compare an apple to an orange.
Yahoo Anti-Spy is an anti-spyware. It catches spyware.
Norton Anti-Virus is an anti-virus program. It detects viruses.
Two very different protections for two very different issues. In my opinion, neither NAV or YAS are very good at what they do…there are far better, even for free.
1. For your Anti-Virus……(Always use only 1 A-V…You must NEVER use more than one anti-virus, Even an expired anti-virus can cause a major conflict… did I mention that you MUST uninstall any old anti-virus products?)
For your anti-virus needs, I would suggest Avast, the newist version 4.8. Avast now includes anti-virus,some anti-spyware and anti-rootkit components. And all for the low low price of free. You can get it here:

2. For your Anti-Adware and Anti-Spyware needs……………(use at least 1 anti-spyware, but 2 is OK). Do a scan with it on a regular basis.

Norton Antivirus is better than Yahoo Anti-Spy since Norton antivirus is a standalone antivirus product and Yahoo Anti-Spy is toolbar.

The Norton Anti-Virus is better than Yahoo Anti-Spy because it protects your computer from slowing your computer down, it takes little memory and system resources. It also has faster scans and runs faster than the other anti viruses are. Good defense system. Also this also covers viruses, spyware, worms, and other software threats. Yahoo Anti-Spy doesn’t treat that kind of stuff.
The Yahoo Anti-Spy program doesn’t thoroughly examine content of each file and relies only on its spyware definitions database, which is updated on a regular basis. Now I know that you do not want that because viruses can still be on your computer which can result in your computer crashing if it doesn’t thoroughly scan all the files you want to be scanned. Such detection technique has a lot of disadvantages and may be quite ineffective against the most recent pests.They say it’s quite rare, but in my opinion I wouldn’t take the chance. So, overall, Norton Anti-Virus is definitely better than Yahoo Anti-Spy. I hope that helps you out.
