Norton Anti-Virus (Provided by AT&T Yahoo) Glitch?

August 17th, 2008 · 1 Comment

Would anyone like to inform me how to remove my Norton Anti-Virus I received from my Internet Service Provider - AT&T Yahoo?

Apparently, it doesn’t show up in Add & Remove Programs (I only found an AT&T icon which consisted of every program AT&T gave me EXCEPT Norton.
I searched my entire system for anything with the word “Norton” in it, and deleted everything (except 2 which it did not allow me to delete.)
I tried to download the Norton Removal Tool at http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPORT/tsgeninfo.nsf/docid/2005033108162039 and that download did not even load.

So now, I’m stuck with Norton with no apparent removal tool. I can’t re-download, because apparently, the AT&T Yahoo Norton won’t re-download because THAT even can’t remove Norton first then download it again. (Which is the typical process.)

So, Norton is madly in love with my computer and won’t get out.

Help, please?!

PS: I want to remove it so I can re-download it because it glitched on me… it turned itself off and won’t turn back on. I also can’t download a free internet version of it because THEY won’t load unless “I remove the previous program manually due to failure in automatic removal.”

Verizon did the name this to me and now on only I.E. works, I can’t using Safari, Firefox, Crome, etc. norton killed my PC and now I’m faced with having to reload the operating system and losing lots of programs I don’t have the original discs for anymore.

It’s so nice that their removal tool doesn’t download isn’t it???

      I hate Norton!!!!
