Norton Antivirus 2009 auto protect setting?

November 8th, 2008 · 1 Comment

Just bought Norton Antivirus 2009 today. Now im facing a very strange problem. When i first boot up my computer norton says “secure” but like 15 minutes later i get a message saying “you have turned off auto protect” and then norton says “at risk”. I go to the settings and switch auto protect and all of its sub settings to on and run live update and all that and even restarted my computer but it keeps doing it. Why does it keep switching off on me? I emailed norton but i may not get an email back til monday. Please help, thanks in advance

      Hi,

Check if you got any other security software in your computer. If so remove it.
You can also try uninstalling Norton and then re-install it.Sometimes a faulty instal;lation can do it.Use Norton removal tool to remove Norton completely from the system.Norton removal tool can be downloaded from http://www.symantec.com/nrt/

      Regards
