Since I’m an AT&T subscriber, I got Internet Security for free. Also my University offers Norton Antivirus free for all students. I was wondering if i could have both installed or if not which is better?

Both of them are the same thing, but, Norton Internet Security give you real time virus alerts, while Norton Antivirus will give you virus alert when you run it.

No. Do not put both on your computer, that would be over kill and a major hog, since norton to begin with is a major resource hog. Not to mention the fact that you should never have more then one virus protection program installed on your computer.
Now if it’s up to those two I would screw the Norton Internet Security, as that is the worst one and causes a big time lag and go with the Norton Antivirus.
But if it were me I’d forget norton all together and go with the much friendly AVG, that wont cause your computer to lag. it offers a free and and paid version of it.

Norton Internet Security includes Norton Antivirus, along with several other features like a firewall. However, the more important question is whether the licenses offered to you are for a limited time, like 30 days or 6 months. That may be the more important question to ask.
Personally, I would never recommend Symmantec products. If you ever have problems, you have to pay for support, and their forums absolutely suck. I refuse to use their products and as a computer consultant, I advise people to use something better like Kaspersky or AVG free antivirus.

You do not want to have two anti-virus programs installed on your computer at the same time.
I have Symantec which is basically the same as Norton (the are owned by the same company) on my laptop, also free from my school, and it has worked fine. I also have spyware detection software (Spy-bot Search and Destroy, which is free) and the combo works well for me.
I have no experience with the “Internet Security,” however, but Norton should be fine.

if i were u i wouldnt go with either of them- i have norton and it realy sucks- so instead i use AVG free 8.0- your better off using that than norton to get AvG - http://free.avg.com/ww.download?prd=afe you can download AVG here- if u want- good luck

My advice: dont install either. both are bloated and power hogs. go with something small, like avast, which is free for as long as you use it, as the licence is free, and its small.
