My Norton Antivirus subscription ran out. Instead of renewing it online, I bought another box. I installed it and everything. However, now, although it works and everything is up-to-date, it still has alerts that the subscription ran out. It’s really annoying. Any ideas on how to fix it?

you need to renew your license. no matter what you do, even if you buy and install a new one, Norton stores your user info on their server, so they know that your license was not renewed. dont waste or money buying new programs, just pay the renew fee for ur subscription.
Or a better option is to download AVG 8.0 antvirus. Its free and the antivirus component is better than Norton. It cleans and disinfects more thorough and safer than Norton. The only thing is that it doesnt give live internet protection, but it gives you safe search. It tells you which sites on a search engine are safe to visit. if you have firefox 3, get back to me. I kno a few security addons that may make you to never get viruses on your computer from the internet ever again, except through email. but if you use a email client like thunderbird or outlook, u may never get a virus again. (just make sure u dont visit “inappropriate” sites, u kno what i mean)
if ure interested, get back to me.
